The new General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) complex is comprised of two main buildings:
– The Air Traffic Control Centre building which houses the main air traffic control operations room and air navigation services offices.
– Emergency Air Traffic Control Centre building which contains the back-up operations room, services and air-traffic control teaching facilities.
With responsibility for the safe and efficient management of the UAE airspace, RMJM designed these buildings to reflect the special demands of this unique working environment.
RMJM’s vision was to create a high quality working environment which offered great flexibility in the interior layout, and an exterior which provided a notable statement for the prestigious government authority.
