Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, Singapore
The Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine project includes the reconstruction of medical school academic areas, creation of a School of Nursing and the formation of new laboratory research space and vivarium designed to international standards.
The 15-storey laboratory building provides space for eight new interdisciplinary research programmes as well as incubator lab spaces, core support labs and student study areas. The nine-storey academic building provides for group instruction, clinical practice areas and computerised simulation centres.
A village green provides a new central gathering space for the campus, while smaller sky gardens and terraces create opportunities for spontaneous meetings and a chance to celebrate Singapore's unique natural environment.
