This project represents a unique opportunity for the College to redefine its identity, image and external perception through the fabric and feel of the new campus environment, whilst at the same time to consolidate and reengineer its operations to be more efficient and effective. The scheme is designed to widen participation and promote access by the local and regional community.
The scheme provides 30,000 m² of space for academic and vocational training including an integral creative arts facility which contains a wide range of spaces for music, dance and fine art including sculpture and ceramics studio spaces. A publicly accessible flexible arts venue enables performances and exhibitions to be held at the heart of the scheme.
