Capital Centre Masterplan: ADNEC Development Phase 4, Abu Dhabi
RMJM was directly commissioned by ADNEC to masterplan 15 hectares of land adjacent to the RMJM-designed Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, the first freehold development on Abu Dhabi Island.
The development consists of 740,000m² of hotels, commercial, residential and mixed-use projects with ground floor retail facilities. The masterplan balances indoor and outdoor public space and creates a series of pedestrian areas inspired by the open spaces of New York City. A landscaped plaza area anchors the development and connects it to the National Exhibition Centre
A distinctive feature of the development is the iconic 35-storey Capital Gate which will house a 5-star hotel and 20,000m² of office and retail space.
