Valle Arriba Athletic Club, Venezuela
Valle Arriba Athletic Club wanted to build a new 3,000m² sports activities building. The RMJM team designed a complex that features four international-style racquetball courts, a two-level fitness centre, three dance and aerobics studios, and a rock-climbing wall that rises through the building's three-story interior.
Outdoor additions include three tennis courts, a children's pool, and a parking garage. Sited on a high plateau, the building has several terraces and expansive glass curtainwalls, which open the interior to spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. RMJM also renovated the interior and exterior of the existing 3,000 m² gymnasium located seven meters below the new sports activity building.
