RMJM was retained by the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) to design a 200,000 square-foot state-of-the-art comprehensive cancer centre and research laboratory in Newark which includes research, clinical, administrative and support spaces.
The facility combines the latest in technological research approaches with flexible and efficient laboratory work space. It also houses outpatient treatment areas for adult and paediatric cancer patients, as well as sophisticated cancer research laboratories and is located close to existing radiation oncology and research facilities,
In addition to providing design services for the project, RMJM assisted UMDNJ in acquiring funding from the National Institutes of Health.
