The first of its kind in the UK, the Lifestyle Academy is a centre for excellence where students of beauty, sport, tourism and hospitality can immerse themselves in their vocation thanks to state-of-the-art, real life working environments.
Open to the local community the Lifestyle Academy boasts its own commercial gym, a luxurious spa, 60-seat restaurant with panoramic views and a hairdressing salon all staffed by students. These facilities are complemented by classrooms, tutorial spaces, IT suites, a student learning centre and lecture theatres.
The Lifestyle Academy won a RIBA Award in 2008, received a commendation from the Newcastle Lord Mayor Design Awards in 2007 and reached the shortlist for the RICS Awards in 2007.
