Port Dundas Landscape Link, Scotland
This project aims to reconnect the Port Dundas portion of the canal in Glasgow with the rest of the Lowland Canals network by creating an arrival point for visitors to the canal focused around two new locks, a new basin and extensive footpath and cycle path links.
STRATA was commissioned to prepare the strategic masterplan which proposes a series of mixed use and office developments and public realm developments that connect the city centre of Glasgow to the newly created canal basin. The proposals include a public realm and streetscape improvement strategy and a series of public spaces and artwork installations that extend from the city centre to the new canal basin and include the proposed development of mixed use and office developments.
