Newark Arena District, USA
RMJM’s design approach for the 77,000m² New Jersey Devils Arena in Newark was rooted in redeveloping the City as a place to be around the clock. Designers were sensitive to the scale of the site for the arena and responded with a plan that complemented the neighbourhood by providing appropriate architectural vernacular and urban amenities.
The arena was separated from the street with layers of action-packed retail, food, and entertainment spaces so that the face of the arena on the street and the sense of the entire arena district becomes a delightful place to be at all hours.
