Lang Fang Masterplan, China
RMJM's masterplan for Lang Fang, located between Beijing and Tian Jing in China, responds to the city's growing population by creating high quality residential communities and an entertainment and cultural hub for the district which will help jump-start the financial and commercial development of the area.
The design inspiration for this 160-acre site originates from images of cracked glaciers. Within the masterplan, the cracked lines form the road network and pathways whilst the remaining glacier pieces form 'islands' which are designed to accommodate an array of facilities across the site.
