Glasgow Millennium Arena, Scotland
RMJM was one of two practices selected to take part in the second stage of an international design competition for a 12,000 seat multi-purpose national indoor stadium and concert venue in Glasgow.
The arena’s form was inspired by the site and its contextual relationship with the River Clyde. A night-time presence embraced stadium rock technology, our ideas being influenced by the video work of artists such as Peter McCaughey and Angus Farquhar.
