The Genzyme Corporation's new 20,000m² life science research facility in Beijing houses both administration and research facilities including laboratory and production modules.
Designed for LEED Platinum certification, the building makes use of natural resources such as stormwater and uses daylight management to reduce energy consumption. The incorporation of additional features such as green-roofs and bio-walls enhance the sustainability of the structure.
