Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games, India
In May 2009, RMJM was awarded the contract to be the expert planning consultants for six key Commonwealth Games venues at the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games. RMJM will be overseeing work on the Athletes' Village, International Broadcast Centre, Main Press Centre, International Airport, Uniform and Accreditation Centre and the Main Logistics Centre.
These 6 venues represent some of the most complex planning challenges for any Commonwealth Games event. With staff based in Delhi (working with the Organising Committee) and Hong Kong, dedicated sports industry design experts at RMJM are providing assessments and planning advice to all of these non competition venues and coordinating all of the associated temporary and permanent building requirements. The Games, which will be held in October 2010, will be the largest multi-sport event ever held in India.
