Custom House Quay, Scotland

RMJM was commissioned to design a masterplan for Custom House Quay, which forms Glasgow city centre's main frontage to the River Clyde.

This imaginative and high quality scheme transforms the Clyde Street waterfront from derelict housing and wasteland into a 50,000m² multi-use facility, including high end designer retail, 400 luxury flats, and a 24-hour promenade bustling with stylish restaurants and café bars.

Central to this urban design project is the creation of a series of public 'river rooms' a and spaces which are linked to the city's wider linear park plan which will eventually connect various riverside communities running along the River Clyde.
