Commonwealth Institute, England
The Commonwealth Institute comprises exhibition space on several levels, a library and visitor facilities. Opened to the public in November 1962, the Institute attracts around 400,000 people each year.
The main building is designed to provide a spacious interior unobstructed by large structural supports. It is also one of only a handful of 1960s buildings to receive Grade II listed status.
