The Performance Academy is the UK’s largest education facility to house music, performing arts and media under one roof. The project was the first in a series of developments aimed at consolidating Newcastle College’s estates, creating a new focus for educational excellence and acting as a catalyst for further development in the local area.
The new building was opened in 2004 to a new generation of actors, dancers, musicians, technicians and all types of professionals in the cultural industries. Its contents span an entire creative spectrum, providing a unique, dynamic and thriving creative hub.
