Peter Williams joined RMJM in 2000 and was promoted to Principal in 2008. Recent projects include the masterplan for University Campus Suffolk, including delivery of Phases I & II and the multi award-winning Information Commons for the University of Sheffield, both in England.

Peter's innovations in sustainable building design for the Zuckerman Institute for Connective Environmental Research at the University of East Anglia in England, earned the project the European Association for Renewable Energies (EUROSOLAR) Award 2004, the Low Energy Building of the Year Award 2005 at the Building Magazine Sustainability Awards, and the Regional High Commendation for the RICS

Award 2005. Additionally, the project was short-listed for the Times Higher Education Supplement's Outstanding Contribution to Sustainable Development Award in the Higher 2006 Awards.

Peter's work has also been recognised by the RIBA, the Civic Trust and the American Institute of Architects.  Peter holds a MA (Hons) and a Diploma in Architecture from the University of Edinburgh, and a Diploma, Foundation Course, from the Canterbury College of Art.

A member of RIBA and ARB, Peter has spoken at the Architects' Journal Conference on Sustainable Housing, and is part of SHAPE East's masterplan enabling team.
