Joe Rizzo has been with RMJM since 1978 and became a Principal in 1998. One the USA's leading authorities on library planning, programming, and design, his recent projects include California State University Madden Library expansion & renovation, Loyola Notre Dame Library expansion & renovation and Northwestern University Library System masterplan.

Joe's honours include the 2007 AIA-Long Beach/South Bay Award for the California State University Fresno Madden Library, the 2006 AIA-KY Award for The University of Louisville Ekstrom Library Expansion, the 2005 International Interior Design

Association (IIDA) Award for the Princeton Public Library, and the 2003 Delaware Society of Architects, AIA, for the New Castle County Library.

A member of both AIA and the American Library Association (ALA), Joe is a sought-after speaker and has presented papers at the 2007 American Library Association Annual Conference, the 2006 National Preservation Conference, as well as at AIA Headquarters (2006), the Society for College and University Planning (2006) and the Pratt Institute Library Faculty (2003).

He received a Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt Institute.
