Harvard Partnership
RMJM launched a programme at Harvard University Graduate School of Design (GSD) aimed at supporting design leaders of the future.
Our donation of $1.5 million, matched by another $500,000 from the Harvard GSD, has been used to establish the RMJM Program for Research and Education in Integrated Design Practice.
The programme is designed to provide architects with a more holistic skill set needed to excel in business, incorporating an understanding of all aspects of the construction process, from commercial and economic drivers to environmental and financial considerations. By improving project delivery for clients, the architecture profession will attract greater recognition for the value of good design in terms of a building’s profit and reputation.
RMJM’s gift will support advanced student and faculty research; the development of case studies and curricula for use at the masters, doctoral and executive levels; and the dissemination of research findings through lectures, conferences and publications.
The programme will create not just great designers but great design leaders.
